What Our Emergency Service Covers

  • Emergency roof tarping over missing shingles, punctures and storm-damaged areas to stop water getting in
  • Board-up of broken windows and doors to secure the building against weather and intruders
  • Leak containment for active roof leaks, failed flashing and ice dams
  • Storm response after hail, high winds and fallen trees, including loose siding, soffit, fascia and eavestroughs
  • Temporary repairs to hold the building until permanent repairs can be scheduled

When to Call the Emergency Line

Calgary weather can turn a small problem into an urgent one quickly. Call us right away if you have:

  • Water dripping through a ceiling or light fixture, or a stain that keeps spreading
  • Shingles, roof panels or flashing torn off by wind, leaving the roof deck exposed
  • Broken windows or doors that won’t close or lock
  • A fallen tree or large branch on the roof or wall
  • Siding, soffit or eavestroughs hanging loose and at risk of falling
  • Ice dams pushing meltwater into the house during a chinook

Summer hailstorms, chinook freeze–thaw cycles and strong westerly winds all produce these calls. Winter brings its own risks, covered in our guide on what to do when ice, snow and leaks strike.

What to Do While You Wait

1. Stay safe

Keep people and pets away from broken glass, sagging ceilings and fallen trees. If water is near electrical fixtures, turn off power to that area at the panel if it is safe to do so.

2. Protect the inside

Move furniture and valuables, catch drips in buckets and lay down plastic or towels.

3. Don’t climb on the roof

Wet, icy or storm-damaged roofs are dangerous. Leave the roof to our crew.

4. Document everything

Take photos and video of the damage inside and out, and note the date, time and weather.

5. Keep receipts

Save receipts for anything you buy to limit the damage, as your insurer may ask for them.

Temporary Repair or Permanent Fix?

An emergency visit is about stopping further damage: tarping the roof, boarding openings and controlling leaks. Once the property is secure, we inspect properly in daylight and in safe conditions, then recommend a permanent repair or replacement. That might be a roof repair or new roof, new windows and doors, siding, eavestroughs or soffit and fascia.

Insurance Documentation

Most emergency calls end up as insurance claims. We understand what insurers need, and we supply the photos and written reports adjusters look for so your claim isn’t held up. Our HAAG-certified inspectors document storm damage clearly, and many insurance companies have approved us as a qualified contractor for exterior claims. Taking reasonable steps to prevent further damage is usually expected under a policy, and our tarping and board-up work is documented for the claim. You can report a claim through us, or read more about our insurance claims process, hail damage and wind damage.

Emergency Call-Out FAQ

Are you really available 24/7?

Yes. Our emergency line, (403) 407-0208, is answered 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, including weekends and holidays.

Can you tarp a roof in winter or in the rain?

Yes, when it is safe for our crew to work. If conditions are too dangerous to go on the roof, we focus on containing the leak from inside and return as soon as conditions allow.

Will my insurance cover emergency tarping and board-up?

Emergency measures to prevent further damage are commonly covered as part of a claim, but it depends on your policy. We document the work for your adjuster.

Do you handle the permanent repair too?

Yes. We are a full exterior contractor, so the same team that secures your home can complete the roofing, siding, windows or eavestrough repairs afterwards.
